Nigel Semmens B-52

The B-52 is a popular board in the NS range. It’s suits a range of surfing abilities being a good option for intermediate surfers looking for their first custom board as well as an equally fun board for good surfers in those smaller sized waves.   The B-52 has a slightly wider nose and a fuller template but is pulled in with double wings in the tail. It features a single to double concave with a medium to relaxed rocker line. The Slight vee off the tail makes it release well, and easier to turn in the waves. The board is shaped with a swallow tail. These features combined give all the benefits of a wider board but a sensitive tail that helps for performance.   The B-52 can be customised for all surfing conditions and is good as both a 5’6 or 7’6 board. We suggest that you speak to one of the Ocean Magic team if you are not sure on sizing so you can get the optimal length for you.   We recommend you opt for a 5 fin set up on your B-52, as it can be ridden as a thruster or quad, allowing you maximum flexibility and versatility.   It’s an ideal board for groms and intermediate surfers wishing to progress to a shortboard as well as old surfers with good abilities but who want a bit of help from their board now.
